About the Role
As a Hospital Coding Specialist II-Inpatient, you will be responsible for reviewing medical records, assigning appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes, and ensuring compliance with coding guidelines. You will also maintain coding knowledge through continuous education and assist in the billing process by communicating with physicians and other offices.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Current HIM or Coding Certification through AHIMA or AAPC.
- Two years of hospital coding experience.
Preferred:
- Graduate of Health Information Technology (HIT) or equivalent program.
- Medical Coding Certification Program.
