Bay Area Turning Point, Inc. is seeking a Housing Case Manager A to join their Client Services Program in Webster, TX. The role involves providing housing case management assistance to non-residential program participants who have fled domestic violence or sexual assault living environments.
About the Role
As a Housing Case Manager A, you will conduct casework with housing participants, assist with goal setting, education, and personal financial planning, and connect families to community resources. You will also oversee transportation needs, maintain participant records, and ensure compliance with program guidelines. The position requires working both in the office and in participants' homes, and may involve on-call emergency accompaniment.
About You
Required:
Some college courses with related experience; 2-year degree in a related field and 4 years’ experience; or a 4-year degree in a related field with 2 years of experience; or a master’s degree in a related field and 1 year of experience.
Sensitivity and knowledge regarding the issues of family violence and sexual assault.
Ability to remain calm in crisis situations.
Must have own transportation and a clean driving record.
Preferred:
Exhibit a 'teamwork' approach.
Understanding of residential programs and dynamics of communal living.
Ability to lift/carry/move a minimum of 40lbs.
