About the Role
As a Housing Unit Paralegal, you will be responsible for representing clients in administrative proceedings, maintaining a caseload, assisting in negotiations, providing litigation support, conducting interviews, and participating in policy advocacy. You will also be involved in community outreach and legal education presentations.
About You
Required:
- Two or four-year college degree
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong writing skills
- Ability to deal with a high volume of direct client interaction
- Word processing, Internet, and office skills
Preferred:
- Some substantive experience in Housing law
- Experience in legislative or administrative advocacy, or with a social services agency or nonprofit organization
- Proficiency in Office365/Microsoft Office
- Fluency in Spanish, including reading and writing fluently, and translating documents accurately

Community Legal Services
