About the Role
As a Health Unit Coordinator/Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting patients with activities of daily living, performing delegated patient care tasks, and collaborating with unit leadership to manage day-to-day operations of the patient care unit. You will also process patient records and communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare personnel, serving as a resource for the electronic medical record.
About You
Required:
- Successful completion of KH Health Coordinator training upon hire into role.
- Successful completion of KH Nursing Assistant Orientation upon hire into role.
- Certification in CPR/BLS.
- Six months experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital or a long-term care facility, or completion of Nursing Assistant course in the last six months, or nursing student listed as pre-nursing on transcripts, or current employee with Kettering Health.
Preferred:
- Reading, writing and basic math skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Appropriate telephone etiquette.
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and function in a high stress environment.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Ability to comprehend and complete delegated tasks.
