Summary
Kettering Health is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator/Nursing Assistant (HUC NA) to join their team in Centerville, OH. The role involves supporting patients with daily activities and coordinating patient care unit operations.
About the Role
As a Health Unit Coordinator/Nursing Assistant, you will be a vital member of the interdisciplinary patient care team. Your responsibilities will include assisting patients with activities of daily living, performing delegated patient care tasks, processing patient records, and maintaining communication with nursing staff and physicians. You will also support department operations and report to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
About You
Required:
- Successful completion of KH Health Coordinator training upon hire into role.
- Successful completion of KH Nursing Assistant Orientation upon hire into role.
- Certification in CPR/BLS.
- Six months experience as a nursing assistant in a hospital or a long-term care facility, or completion of Nursing Assistant course in the last six months, or nursing student listed as pre-nursing on transcripts, or current employee with Kettering Health.
Preferred:
- Reading, writing and basic math skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Appropriate telephone etiquette.
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and function in a high stress environment.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Ability to comprehend and complete delegated tasks.
