Summary
Ridgeview is seeking a HUC CICU Tele to join their team in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area. The role involves assisting staff in coordinating intra- and inter-departmental activities and communication, as well as supporting patient-related activities under the supervision of the RN.
About the Role
As a HUC CICU Tele, you will be responsible for processing physician orders, communicating pertinent information regarding unit activities, processing admissions, transfers, and discharges, restocking supplies, completing clerical responsibilities, and maintaining the flow of the department by coordinating patient care. You will also demonstrate competencies in the specialty area of CICU/Telemetry and provide professional customer service.
About You
Required:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Ability to communicate in English for effective written and verbal correspondence.
- Knowledge of basic computer functions.
- Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations.
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team.
- Capable of making independent decisions with good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work and multi-task in a high-stress and fast-paced environment.
- Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification or certification obtained within 90-days of hire.
Preferred:
- Completion of Health Unit Coordinator course.
- Previous HUC experience.
- Experience in a hospital setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
