About the Role
As a Human Resources Specialist 1, you will act as a business partner to the Department's programs, administering staffing and recruitment, position classification, examination planning, and managing employee probation and leaves of absence. You will provide technical assistance in the interpretation of Civil Service Law and agency policies, research HR topics, identify process improvement opportunities, and represent the Department at job fairs and recruitment events.
About You
Required:
- Four to six years of experience in human resources activities such as staffing services, position classification, and employee services.
- Ability to interpret Civil Service Law and agency-specific policies.
Preferred:
- Strong service-oriented focus and collaboration skills.
- Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Outlook.
