Gotion Inc. is seeking an HVAC & Utilities Engineer/Supervisor to join their team in Manteno, IL. The role involves the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial HVAC systems within a manufacturing facility.

About the Role

As an HVAC & Utilities Engineer/Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing factory air conditioning, air handling units, dehumidification systems, and chilled water systems. Your daily tasks will include performing inspections, establishing preventive maintenance plans, diagnosing equipment failures, and supporting HVAC equipment commissioning. You will also coordinate HVAC activities with various teams and may lead a team of engineers and technicians in the future.

About You

Required:

Hands-on experience with industrial HVAC equipment, including air conditioning or dehumidification systems.
Solid understanding of HVAC system operation principles and equipment structures.
Experience performing routine maintenance and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair common HVAC equipment failures.
Experience in factory or industrial equipment operation and maintenance.
Ability to read and understand HVAC and mechanical drawings.

Preferred:

Experience with desiccant dehumidification units (DHU) and chilled water systems.
Experience in manufacturing, battery, semiconductor, electronics, or pharmaceutical facilities.
Mechanical background with experience in piping and ductwork maintenance.
Prior experience supervising or mentoring engineers or technicians.
Willingness to work night shifts or rotating shifts.
HVAC-related certifications or licenses are a plus.
