Summary
Jacobs is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer - Career Level to join their team, with opportunities available at any location in the United States. The role involves designing and optimizing control systems for industrial and commercial facilities.
About the Role
As an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for developing P&IDs, sizing valves, specifying instrumentation, and ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and designers in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team to deliver world-class solutions. Your tasks will include providing on-site assistance during startup and coordinating work activities with other staff members.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control.
- Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and other controls applications.
Preferred:
- Engineer in Training (EIT).
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience mentoring junior professionals or leading small teams.
- Experience with Data Center Design.
