International Rescue Committee is seeking an ICM Caseworker to join their team in Wichita, KS. The role involves providing strengths-based, client-centered case management to vulnerable refugee populations.
About the Role
As an ICM Caseworker, you will address barriers to safety and wellness for refugees and asylees. Your responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing individualized self-sufficiency plans, evaluating client progress, assisting clients in navigating healthcare and social services, and maintaining documentation of services provided. You will also conduct community outreach and may provide transportation to clients as needed.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, or related field of study preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of case management experience with similar populations and/or client needs required.
- Fluent in English required, both spoken and written.
Preferred:
- Ability to speak in other languages, especially those spoken by clients such as Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Kinyabwisha, Pashto, Dari, and Arabic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
