Baseten is seeking an Immigration and Mobility Lead to join their team in San Francisco, CA. The role involves managing global hiring processes and serving as the in-house expert on immigration and international employment strategy.
About the Role
As the Immigration and Mobility Lead, you will own the end-to-end immigration lifecycle, managing U.S. visa processes and overseeing visa sponsorships. You will partner with external counsel, stay updated on immigration policy changes, and design a seamless relocation experience for employees. Additionally, you will advise on international hiring arrangements and support the establishment of global hubs.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing U.S. and Canadian business immigration across a wide range of visa types and permanent residency pathways.
- Proven ability to navigate complex, high-stakes immigration scenarios with exceptional judgment, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Deep, current knowledge of the evolving U.S. immigration landscape.
- Strong experience advising on international employment arrangements, including cross-border compliance and employment tax considerations.
- Experience building and maintaining scalable internal documentation and case tracking systems.
- Exceptional communication skills, proactive and empathetic.
Preferred:
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent cases efficiently.
- Experience in fast-scaling startups and structured environments.
