About the Role
As an Independent Appraiser, you will be responsible for reviewing assignments, speaking with property owners or representatives, researching records, and inspecting properties to determine fair settlement amounts. You will handle assignments promptly, maintain knowledge of local repair procedures, and submit detailed inspection reports. The role requires 100% travel within the territory and the ability to work independently while adhering to high professional standards.
About You
Required:
- 3+ years field claims experience including property claims, insurance experience or construction/restoration experience.
- Electronic estimating experience using Mitchell, AdjustRite and Xactimate.
- Strong customer service and conflict resolution competency.
- Ability to perform work independently (self-motivated).
- Interpreting property policy language and/or completion of property adjusting training course.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail and adaptability.
- Reliable transportation, valid state driver’s license, and safe driving record.
Preferred:
- Xactimate Certified.
- Experience with Heavy Equipment/Specialty (RV’s, Boats).
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in Auto appraisals.
- Mitchell experience.
