About the Role
As an Infection Preventionist / Hospital Educator, you will direct the managerial functions of the Infection Control Program, assure compliance with various health standards, analyze hospital infection data, manage hospital policies, perform surveillance and reporting of hospital-acquired infections, and assist in staff training and orientation.
About You
Required:
- CPR certification required.
- Current license or certification applicable to health-related field.
- Completed post-secondary education in a health-related field such as medicine, nursing, laboratory technology, public health, or biology.
- 1 year experience in a clinical setting in field of practice.
Preferred:
- Previous experience as an Educator.
- Training in infection control and/or epidemiology.
- Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC).
- If Registered Nurse, CRRN certification preferred.
- Experience in hospital infection control practice.
