Summary
Texas Association of Counties is seeking an Infrastructure and Platform Manager to manage and develop the network operations function in Austin, TX. The role involves overseeing the performance of the team, ensuring service quality, and enhancing integration with other departments.
About the Role
As an Infrastructure and Platform Manager, you will evaluate current and future infrastructure needs, manage the budget, and lead improvements to network operations. You will ensure timely execution of network changes, improve customer service, maintain staffing levels, mentor the team, and develop documentation for work processes.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, management information systems or related field preferred.
- CCNA Certification and 5 years of experience building and managing Cisco network infrastructure.
- A minimum of eight years’ experience in implementing and sustaining VMware installation, configuration, management, and data protection of high-availability virtualized environments.
- At least 5 years of experience deploying and managing Windows Server systems including Active Directory.
- Experience in data center virtualization, network architecture/design, and information security.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or management information systems.
- Azure/AWS infrastructure experience.
- Experience hosting and managing websites and digital platforms.
- Experience as a technical lead or senior engineer/architect for medium to large IT projects.
