Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking an Inpatient Physician Assistant to join their team in Boston, MA. The role involves assisting physicians in the medical management of oncology patients and collaborating with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
About the Role
As an Inpatient Physician Assistant, you will manage all aspects of patient care in collaboration with supervising MDs and care teams. Your responsibilities will include examining patients, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing therapies, and participating in quality improvement projects. You will work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure high standards of patient management.
About You
Required:
Bachelor's degree and completion of an AAPA/NCCPA-accredited Physician Assistant Studies program.
NCCPA certification and a license to practice as a Physician Assistant in Massachusetts.
Current DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Licenses.
Completion of 100 hours of CME every 2 years.
Preferred:
Expert knowledge of general medicine with exposure to hematology/oncology and/or inpatient medicine.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
