Pursuit Aerospace is seeking an Inspection Technology Leader to join their team in CT, MA, or NY. The role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing inspection technologies to ensure the highest quality standards for aerospace components.
About the Role
As an Inspection Technology Leader, you will lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge inspection technologies across all production lines. Your responsibilities include optimizing inspection workflows, managing a team of Quality Engineers and Inspectors, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards, and championing continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science AND 8+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing - OR - in lieu of degree, 12+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing.
- 5+ years in a leadership role focused on inspection technologies.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
Preferred:
- Advanced certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, ASQ certifications).
- PCDMIS Level 3 training.
- Experience with PCDMIS laser scanning, NADCAP M&I, and/or A2LA ISO 17020.
- Proven experience with inspection systems and technologies used in the aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace standards, including AS9100 and AS13100.
- Experience with machining and fabrication of structural parts and airfoils.
- Expertise in modern inspection methods, including 3D scanning and optical techniques.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM, CMM and other inspection software.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
