About the Role
As an Instructional Specialist, you will work under the direction of the Director of Teaching and Learning. Your responsibilities will include demonstrating research-based instructional strategies, providing support to new teachers, leading collaborative planning sessions, analyzing instructional practices, designing professional development, and developing coaching plans for teachers. You will also model direct instruction, assist in implementing school improvement plans, and utilize various student data to inform instructional decisions.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- At least five years of successful teaching experience.
- Valid Georgia teaching certificate or ability to acquire.
Preferred:
- Master's degree.
- Graduate work in reading, math, or technology.
- Reading or Math Endorsement.
- Teacher Support and Coaching Endorsement or ability to acquire within two years.
