Summary
Metris Global is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer to join their team in Petaluma, CA. The role involves providing instructional design and development support in accordance with client-specific requirements and standard operating procedures.
About the Role
As an Instructional Systems Designer, you will be responsible for creating design documents, preparing storyboards, selecting delivery methods, structuring tests, performing evaluations, revising training materials based on feedback, and ensuring compliance with USCG standards. You will also oversee ISD projects and collaborate effectively with team members.
About You
Required:
- A master’s degree in Instructional Systems, Instructional Systems Technology, Instructional & Performance Technology, or Education (with a concentration in Educational Technology) preferred, or five years’ documented experience in a related field may be substituted for the educational requirement.
- A minimum of two years’ experience using the Instructional Systems Development (ISD) process in the development of courses and training interventions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and computer graphics programs.
- Successful SSBI background investigation.
Preferred:
- Experience in developing training interventions for government or military clients.
- Ability to physically observe performance and climb ladders or meet other physical requirements associated with the work environment.
