Summary
Boston Public Schools is seeking an exceptional Instructional Transformation Coach to support one of their schools in Boston, MA. The role involves providing direct coaching and support to the principal, instructional leadership team, and individual teachers to enhance teaching and learning.
About the Role
As an Instructional Transformation Coach, you will be responsible for collaborating with teachers and administrators to implement instructional changes, monitor teacher progress, and support the development of effective classroom environments. Your duties will include co-teaching, providing in-class coaching, assisting in professional development planning, and analyzing student assessment data to improve academic achievement.
About You
Required:
- Hold a valid Massachusetts Teaching License in the appropriate content area.
- At least five years of experience as a teacher with deep knowledge of curriculum, instruction, interventions, and assessments.
- Demonstrated success in leading instructional change and building positive school culture.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Current authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred:
- Hold an SEI endorsement or dual certification in ESL and special education licensure.
- Experience working with students with disabilities in inclusive settings.
- Master’s degree in the appropriate field.
- Experience implementing rigorous, standards-aligned, inclusive instruction.
- Fluency in one of BPS' official languages: Spanish, Creole (Cape Verdean), Creole (Haitian), Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, or Somali.
