Summary
YUMA is seeking an Instrumentation & Control Technician to join their team in Yuma, AZ. The role involves overseeing and performing tasks related to the operation and maintenance of the City's Utilities Department SCADA systems.
About the Role
As an Instrumentation & Control Technician, you will install, maintain, replace, repair, and calibrate SCADA process control components and system instrumentation for both Water and Wastewater treatment plants. You will respond to service requests, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, maintain the SCADA system database, and assist in planning upgrades to the SCADA control system while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Three years of experience in the installation, maintenance, repair, and calibration of electronic control systems, industrial instrumentation equipment, and precision mechanical devices.
- A valid Arizona State Driver's License.
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of Rockwell SCADA software.
- Treatment Plant Operator's Grade 2 certifications in both Water and Wastewater functions from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ).
- Trade school certification in electrical/electronics/technology.
