About the Role
As an Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney, you will handle a caseload from intake through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, and hearings. You will develop litigation strategies tailored to various practice areas such as general liability, trucking, business disputes, or construction defects. Your responsibilities will also include conducting legal research, drafting court filings, representing clients in mediations and trial proceedings, and negotiating settlements.
About You
Required:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Admitted and in good standing with the Florida Bar.
- At least 3 years of civil defense experience.
- Minimum of three years of civil litigation experience in at least one of the following practice areas: general liability, trucking, business litigation or construction defect.
Preferred:
- Proven courtroom or arbitration experience.
- Exceptional analytical, writing and oral advocacy skills.
- Proficiency with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software.
