Local Infusion is seeking an Intake Coordinator, also known as an 'Infusion Guide', to join their team in Princeton, NJ. The role focuses on enhancing patient care in infusion therapy through effective referral and intake coordination.
About the Role
As an Intake Coordinator, you will handle all aspects of the infusion referral process, including obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, and benefit investigations. You will liaise with referring providers, communicate the referral process to patients, and assist in maintaining medical inventory. This position includes a dedicated 6-week training plan to ensure your success.
About You
Required:
- Passion for patient care and delivering exceptional patient experiences.
- Health care experience.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in infusion therapy.
- Insurance prior authorization experience.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Overall medical insurance experience.
- Ability to quickly grasp new applications.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
