Summary
Inside Higher Ed is seeking an Interlibrary Loan Coordinator to join their team in Hamilton, NY. The role involves supporting the smooth operation and delivery of resource sharing services within the library.
About the Role
As an Interlibrary Loan Coordinator, you will provide on-site support for resource-sharing duties, verify and process interlibrary loan requests, troubleshoot related issues, maintain statistical information, train and supervise student workers, manage supplies inventory, and serve as a back-up staff member for library services.
About You
Required:
- Experience with Windows-based computer software and ability to learn new software applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to function within a culturally diverse community and workforce.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
- Previous experience working in interlibrary loan (ILL).
- Familiarity with copyright and its application in libraries.
- Experience working in an academic library.
- Familiarity with systems and software within the borrowing services unit (ALMA/PRIMO, ILLiad, Moodle, Sling).
