About the Role
As an Intermediate Commissioning Engineer / Technologist, you will be responsible for testing and commissioning MV/HV power system protection and control schemes in various industries, including utility and oil & gas. Your tasks will include reading and interpreting technical drawings, training employees, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. You will also handle customer inquiries and assist in generating commissioning procedures.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Electrician Journeyman Ticket, or an Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in medium voltage and/or high voltage utility substations and power generation.
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical power system protection and controls.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Experience in supervisory roles leading projects in greenfield and brownfield substations.
- NETA Testing Certification.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite.
