About the Role
As an Intern in the Sustainability & Environment Division, you will support the Stormwater Management Bureau and the Climate Action Plan. Your responsibilities will include public engagement, data collection, data management in Excel, and administrative tasks. You will work on projects related to sustainability, green infrastructure, and urban forestry, contributing to the City’s environmental initiatives.
About You
Required:
- Graduation from High School or completion of a GED.
- Sophomore or Junior enrolled in a relevant field such as civil or biological engineering, environmental science, landscape architecture, horticulture, ecology, sustainability, or related environmental program with at least 15 credit hours.
Preferred:
- Possession of a valid Pennsylvania State Driver’s License.
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
- Basic understanding of environmental issues in urban contexts.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and GIS software.
- Ability to identify plant species, especially native plants.
