BioSpace is seeking an Intern, Business Development to join their team in San Rafael, CA. The role involves gaining hands-on experience as part of the Business Development team, focusing on research and analytical tasks.
About the Role
As an Intern in Business Development, you will assist the BD team with secondary and primary research, analyze the deal landscape, create a deals comp database, evaluate assets, and manage documents and administrative tasks. The internship will last 10 to 12 weeks during the summer months, providing an opportunity to engage with both scientific and business aspects of the organization.
About You
Required:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Ability to collect and synthesize a wide range of scientific and clinical information.
Self-starter, comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Organized, capable of multi-tasking, and has strong attention to detail.
Ability to produce quality deliverables and work with tight deadlines.
Collaborative and innovative thinking.
Preferred:
Graduate or MBA student with a strong background and career interest in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.
Passionate about learning about business development in a high-paced environment.
