City of Manteca is seeking an Intern Generalist for the Solid Waste Corporation Yard in Manteca, CA. This part-time outdoor position involves performing manual labor tasks in support of Solid Waste operations.
About the Role
As an Intern Generalist, you will work under general supervision to perform a variety of manual labor tasks. Your responsibilities will include washing and cleaning garbage trucks, maintaining cleanliness of the Corporation Yard, operating food-waste processing machines, assembling garbage and recycling carts, and assisting with general upkeep of facilities. You will also support special projects and assist field staff with collection routes as needed.
About You
Required:
- Valid California driver's license.
- Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed.
