About the Role
As an intern, you will work closely with MERL researchers to bridge modern perception with higher-level reasoning capabilities. Your responsibilities will include designing experiments, preparing results for patents and publication, and developing algorithms that can understand and act on multi-sensor data.
About You
Required:
- Demonstrated work in text-, visual-, and multimodal reasoning.
- Experience aligning or conditioning LLMs/VLMs on sensor outputs.
- Solid understanding of transformer-based and diffusion-based frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale multi-sensor datasets.
- Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/JAX).
- Proven publication record in top-tier venues.
- Knowledge of sensor fundamentals and familiarity with radar perception research.
Preferred:
- Experience with GPU cluster job scheduling and scalable data pipelines.
- Familiarity with MERL's recent radar perception research.
