Summary
Good Shepherd Services is seeking an Internship & Career Coordinator to join their team at Brooklyn Frontiers High School. The role focuses on developing and implementing internship experiences for students to prepare them for life after high school.
About the Role
As the Internship & Career Coordinator, you will work closely with students to enhance their job readiness and career exploration through various activities. Your responsibilities include outreach to internship providers, creating and maintaining internship opportunities, matching students with placements, overseeing their progress, developing curriculum for seminar groups, and collaborating with counselors to support students' academic and emotional needs.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience working with adolescents in employment or vocational field in 1:1 and group sessions.
- Strong organizational, teamwork, verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
- Bilingual Spanish/French preferred.
- Ability to travel to GSS Program Sites throughout the respective borough.
- Ability to work weekends, including overnight when necessary.
