Summary
Sheppard Pratt is seeking an Intern for the Hospital Inpatient-Towson 2025-2026 Social Work BSW Fieldwork position. This internship will provide an opportunity to work with a range of patient populations while developing professional and interpersonal skills needed to become a competent social worker.
About the Role
As an intern, you will work under the supervision of a licensed social worker, gaining hands-on experience through observation, demonstration, and feedback. You will report to the unit two days a week, serve various patient populations, complete psychosocial assessments, communicate with families and treatment teams, assist with discharge planning, and conduct clinical groups. The internship runs from September 2025 to April 2026.
About You
Required:
- Effective time management skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and be self-motivated.

- Experience in mental health settings.
- Knowledge of social work practices.
