About the Role
As an Investigations and Media Strategist, you will lead the Rapid Response Team, developing strategies that include litigation support, public statements, and investigative projects. You will utilize research tools to expose unconstitutional government actions and create pitches for major media outlets. Your responsibilities will also include writing op-eds, providing media training, and collaborating with legal and communications teams to advance cases and causes.
About You
Required:
- 3–6 years of experience in investigative reporting, including filing FOIA requests.
- Demonstrated success writing and placing op-eds or similar advocacy pieces.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools (Google News Alerts, Muckrack, etc.).
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data-driven investigative experience.
- Ability to understand and communicate basic legal theories and proceedings.
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills.
- A record of high-profile reporting or communications projects.
