About the Role
As an IP Engineer I, you will work as part of the IP Operations team, assisting in the installation and configuration of SONET and optical transport equipment. Your responsibilities will include maintaining engineering records, providing technical support to various teams, and implementing new network builds across multiple layers of IP services delivery.
About You
Required:
- Associate’s degree in computer science, Networking, or equivalent experience.
- 1 – 3 years experience with a carrier or a carrier network vendor.
Preferred:
- Cisco CCNA or equivalent certification.
- Experience with optical transport technologies and vendor supplied software for modeling optical network loss budgets.
