About the Role
As an iPhone Hardware System Design Engineer, you will lead the design and integration of custom hardware into constrained systems, working closely with multi-functional technology teams in a fast-paced environment. You will have a significant impact on the overall design and user experience of iPhone products, with opportunities for international travel.
About You
Required:
- BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- Fundamentals of electrical engineering including analog and high-speed digital design.
- Broad experience across different applications and technologies.
- Design of complex system architectures.
Preferred:
- Strong desire to dive deep into system level issues and drive problems to closure in a team-based environment.
- Exposure to solving unwanted coupling and interference between subsystems.
- Proven track record of leading dynamic multi-functional teams.
- Ability to analyze solutions and make system design trade-offs.
- Familiarity with the challenges of taking a product from early architecture through to production.
- Hands-on experience with lab test equipment to debug difficult/intermittent hardware issues.
- Schematic capture and rigid/flexible PCB layout.
- Fundamentals of Signal and Power Integrity.
- Low voltage power regulation and delivery.
- Prototype design and validation with custom silicon.
- Use of scripting languages to assist with hardware development.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
