About the Role
As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for routine maintenance checks of campus irrigation systems, including inspecting, maintaining, and repairing computerized controllers and sprinkler systems. You will also install and test new irrigation systems and safely operate grounds equipment to maintain the university's landscape.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to two years.
- A valid State of Florida or Georgia driver’s license or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Ability to work in inclement weather.
- Ability to use shovels for digging holes.
Preferred:
- Technical or vocational degree in an appropriate mechanical trade area.
