Summary
Inteva Products is seeking an IT MES Systems Architect to join their team in Gadsden, AL. The role involves defining, governing, and evolving the global Manufacturing Execution System (MES) architecture across all manufacturing plants.
About the Role
As an IT MES Systems Architect, you will serve as the technical authority for MES solutions, ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient systems that align with business objectives and enterprise IT/OT standards. Your responsibilities will include defining the global MES reference architecture, leading requirements analysis, governing configuration and deployment of MES functions, and designing integrations between MES, ERP, and other platforms. You will also provide technical leadership and maintain architectural documentation while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing IT/OT environments, including 7+ years focused on MES solutions.
- Proven experience designing and governing MES architectures in multi-plant, global manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of MES core functions, manufacturing processes, and shop-floor operations.
- Hands-on experience integrating MES with ERP systems, automation (PLC/SCADA/HMI), and enterprise data platforms.
- Solid understanding of relational databases (SQL Server preferred), APIs, and middleware technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technically, influence without authority, and communicate complex concepts clearly.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Experience in automotive or other high-volume discrete manufacturing industries.
- Familiarity with leading MES platforms (e.g., Advantive MES, DELMIA Apriso, Opcenter, FactoryTalk ProductionCentre, Camstar, iBASEt).
- Knowledge of ISA-95 / IEC 62264 standards.
- Experience supporting global plant launches, brownfield/greenfield deployments, and legacy system modernization.
