Summary
State of Indiana is seeking an IT Project Manager Intermediate to join their team in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves planning, organizing, and controlling all operations and activities of information technology projects for the client and other state government agencies.
About the Role
As an IT Project Manager Intermediate, you will manage projects that involve multiple agencies and ensure that user requirements, deliverables, and approvals are defined. You will coordinate activities of all parties involved in the project to ensure timely completion within budget, communicate project status to stakeholders, and create all project-related documents. This role also includes contingency planning for project and technology resource gaps.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree and 1+ year of experience in information technology, Computer science, Business Administration or a related field, or
- Associate's Degree and 3+ years of experience in information technology, Computer science, Business Administration or a related field, or
- At least 5+ years of experience in information technology, Computer science, Business Administration or a related field.
Preferred:
- Three (3) years of project management experience.
- Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, risk management, and estimation of resources.
- Considerable knowledge of the information systems development life cycle and project tools.
- Effective communication skills and comfort in making presentations to stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge and experience of Microsoft products: Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Project, and Visio.
