Summary
Guidehouse is seeking an IT Security Specialist – Mid - SecCM Specialist to join their team in Arlington, VA. The role involves managing and controlling secure configurations of information systems for federal organizations.
About the Role
As an IT Security Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the secure configurations of over 200 information systems in accordance with NIST 800-128 guidance. Your duties will include identifying configurations that impact security, analyzing security implications of changes, documenting changes, and participating in policy development for configuration management. You will also conduct IT security audits and manage configuration management planning.
About You
Required:
- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET federal security clearance.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of three (3) years managing large security projects.
- Experience with Security Configuration Management, STIG DoD compliance, and Vulnerability.
- Experience with documentation of Configuration Management plan/Change Management from a security perspective.
- Ability to obtain a DOD 8570 Level 1 certification within 6 months of employment.
Preferred:
- Current DOD 8570 Level 1 or equivalent certification.
- Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security.
- Broad knowledge of cybersecurity threats.
- Broad knowledge of information system technologies.
- Experience developing security policy.
- Experience with online research techniques.
