About the Role
As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the uptime, performance, resources, and security of managed computers. Your tasks will include installing or upgrading components and software, providing routine automation, maintaining security policies, troubleshooting, and offering technical support. You will also identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network, helping your team understand network metrics.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in System Administration, Network Administration, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Science and 10+ years of experience as a system administrator, or 15+ years of experience as a system administrator in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with configuring and managing Unix, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with providing support to IT systems, including day-to-day operations and problem resolution.
- TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred:
- Experience with the federal government, the Intelligence Community (IC), or the Department of Defense (DoD).
- Experience with network fundamentals and troubleshooting.
- Experience with shell scripting and diagnosing open-source issues.
- RedHat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Certification.
