Sui:Generis is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide technical support, manage IT environments, and optimize networking for clients primarily in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and beyond.
About the Role
The IT Support Specialist will provide prompt help desk assistance on-site and over the phone, demonstrating expertise in Local Area Networking, Internet fundamentals (DNS, security, IP routing, HTTP, VPN, email routing, spam), and VoIP support. The role involves collaborating with vendors and clients to coordinate IT system projects, managing relationships with third-party vendors such as AllScripts, Sage, Apple, Intuit, and ISPs, and developing and maintaining documentation of IT processes and implementation plans. The position requires travel approximately three times per month to domestic major-market locations, with trips lasting 2-3 business days.
About You
Required:
High school diploma or GED.
1-5 years of experience in information technology or extensive experience in a service-based company.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in various physical conditions including hot/cold environments, and positions such as lying, sitting, standing, working on ladders, attics, and above ceiling tiles.
