MRE Consulting is seeking an IT Technical Specialist III to join their team in Houston, TX. The role involves implementing technological solutions to solve business problems and ensuring effective service delivery between Engineering and Service Desk teams.
About the Role
As an IT Technical Specialist III, you will be responsible for handling escalations, monitoring Infrastructure and Network Operations Center (NOC) alerts, and driving innovation within the division. Your daily tasks will include drafting change request forms, maintaining the escalation board, and staying updated on industry best practices. You will also assist with project implementations, system deployments, and analyze IT systems to recommend improvements.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5–7 years’ experience managing IT infrastructure and executing system implementations.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services including VMs, networking, storage, and security.
- Proficiency with automation tools such as PowerShell and Azure CLI.
- Strong project management skills, including large-scale, multi-site deployment experience.
- Ability to develop technical documentation and deliver training to internal teams.
Preferred:
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator).
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
- Understanding of ITIL best practices; ITIL certification preferred.
