Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) is seeking a UI Developer to join their team in Carmel, IN. The role involves connecting design and development to create intuitive, accessible front-end experiences.
About the Role
As a UI Developer at MISO, you will transform design systems into scalable, production-ready code, collaborate with various teams to enhance user experience, and contribute to the development of a shared Angular-based component library. You will modernize operator dashboards, refactor legacy UIs, and implement CX-driven improvements. Your work will support accessibility initiatives by aligning with WCAG standards.
About You
Required:
- Advanced in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+), with proficiency in modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
- Skilled in using Git, build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite), and package managers (npm, yarn).
- Experienced in responsive design, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Knowledgeable in WCAG guidelines, ARIA roles, and accessibility tools (e.g., axe, Lighthouse).
- Effective communicator with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- 6-8 years of relevant work experience.
