Summary
UST is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join their team in Plano, TX. The role involves building and maintaining scalable, secure microservices using Spring Boot.
About the Role
As a Senior Java Developer, you will develop and maintain Spring Boot microservices, implement business logic, ensure robust unit and integration test coverage, participate in design discussions, and collaborate with DevOps teams for Kubernetes-based deployments. You will also identify and remediate security vulnerabilities and follow Agile ceremonies to deliver work within committed timelines.
About You
Required:
- 6-9 years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency in Core Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with microservices architecture and REST API development.
- Strong skills in unit and integration testing with JUnit and Mockito.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices (OWASP guidelines, Veracode).
- Familiarity with Kubernetes fundamentals (pods, deployments, services).
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and JSON data handling.
- Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
- Experience with REACT.
Preferred:
- AWS cloud experience.
- Experience with event-driven architecture using Kafka.
- API automation testing with Karate.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as Harness, Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear communication and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with enterprise security standards.
