Summary
Amentum is seeking a Strategic Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES) Planner to perform technical and analytical work in support of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) at Camp H.M. Smith, HI.
About the Role
As a JOPES Planner, you will provide strategic JOPES policies and processes advice, manage Joint Force requirements, and develop Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) for USINDOPACOM plans. Your responsibilities will include interfacing with various military components, ensuring logistics are properly captured, and supporting planning meetings and exercises. You will also analyze operational plans and provide technical assistance on short timelines.
About You
Required:
- At least 10 years of combined experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD).
- At least 5 years of experience working in related Joint Planning Process.
- At least 3 years of experience working in JOPES at a Combatant Command or Service Component-level Command.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent military or government experience.
- Detailed knowledge of USINDOPACOM policy and strategy.
- Demonstrated advanced joint planning skills.
- Experience conducting research on Joint Force topics.
- Proficient at authoring policy documents and information papers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products and SharePoint.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have an Active Top-Secret DoD clearance with SCI eligibility.
Preferred:
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Graduate of an advanced warfighter school (MAWS, JAWS, SAMS, SAW).
- 5 years of experience in the Indo-Pacific Area of Operations (AOR).
- 5 years of experience in strategic military plans.
- 5 years of experience supporting INDOPACOM.
