Summary
SRI is seeking a Jr. Electrical Engineer to join their Imaging team in Princeton, NJ. The role involves supporting the development of custom image sensor devices and systems for various applications.
About the Role
As a Jr. Electrical Engineer, you will set up laboratory equipment to measure the Electro-Optic performance of sensors and cameras, develop reliable testing methods, and present results to stakeholders. You will work in a multidisciplinary team focused on hardware integration and software development.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Some experience in APD, image sensor, or camera characterization and testing.
- US Citizenship due to government contract requirements.
- Knowledge of Electro-Optic principles and testing applications.
- Familiarity with common test equipment such as oscilloscopes and function generators.
- Strong PC skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with analysis and laboratory automation tools such as Labview, Matlab, and ImageJ.
- Ability to troubleshoot circuits and systems.
- Experience with schematic and layout tools.
- Knowledge of imager and camera performance parameters.
- Knowledge of Lidar Sensors, CCD, and CMOS imager architectures.
- Detail-oriented with good documentation habits.
