About the Role
As a Junior-level IC Trade, Sanctions & Export Controls Associate, you will be responsible for managing workstreams, supporting client relationships, and collaborating with cross-practice teams across multiple jurisdictions. Your tasks will include advising on regulatory matters, compliance program reviews, cross-border transactional reviews, and enforcement investigations. The position requires strong analytical, organizational, communication, and writing skills, and a proactive approach to work.
About You
Required:
- 1-2 years of experience in US trade law, particularly in export controls and sanctions.
- Must be admitted and a member in good standing of the California Bar or eligible to waive in.
Preferred:
- Experience in major law firms.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and cultures and enhance skills using AI tools.
Benefits
- Base compensation expected to be $225k–$235k annually.
