TEKsystems Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Network Technician to support their telecommunications infrastructure in the Greater Nashville Area.
About the Role
As a Junior Network Technician, you will assist in the installation, termination, and testing of structured cabling systems, support the deployment and maintenance of VoIP systems, perform basic troubleshooting of network issues, help configure telecom closets, conduct site surveys, maintain documentation, collaborate with senior technicians, and follow safety protocols.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, BICSI Installer) are a plus.
- Entry-level experience or training in networking, telecommunications, or low-voltage systems.
- Familiarity with network and telecom equipment such as routers, switches, patch panels, and test tools.
- Understanding of VoIP, PBX, and basic IP networking concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment, work on ladders, and use hand tools.
- Flexibility to work in various environments including commercial and industrial settings.
