As a Lab Assistant, you will be responsible for all aspects of specimen collection and processing while upholding the mission and values of Gateway Regional Medical Center. Your duties will include maintaining laboratory operations, ensuring continuity of patient care, and performing data entry and report distribution tasks.
About You
Required:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program or equivalent.
- Board accredited phlebotomy certification or equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification within 3 months.
Preferred:
- Ability to read and understand written data and medical terminology.
- Good verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all age groups.
- Demonstrated ability to perform all specimen processing functionalities.
- Professional customer service skills and a positive attitude.
