As a Lab Assistant Per Diem Varied, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples through phlebotomy, processing specimens for clinical laboratory tests, and documenting collection information. You will also perform routine clerical tasks, prepare materials and supplies, and assist in new employee orientation. Effective communication and adherence to safety measures for different patient populations are essential.
About You
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- DHS Phlebotomy Certification.
- AHA BLS Card.
- Fire Card required within 30 days of hire.
- Assault Response Competency (ARC) required within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Preferred:
- One year phlebotomy experience in a hospital laboratory preferred.
