About the Role

As a Laboratory Processing Technician, you will be responsible for evaluating, accessioning, processing, storing, and distributing patient specimens while adhering to standard operating procedures. You will ensure that incoming samples meet pre-analytical testing requirements and resolve any specimen issues before testing. The position requires strong organizational skills to maintain efficiency and quality in patient testing, along with professional communication with internal and external customers.

About You

Required:

Minimum of 18 years of age.
High school education or equivalent.
Strong troubleshooting abilities to identify and correct problems related to specimen quality.
Ability to concentrate for long periods, work accurately under pressure, and handle stress to meet deadlines.
Computer experience.

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in Health or Science.
Experience in clinical laboratory medicine.
Direct patient care experience.
Post-secondary education in a laboratory or health-related field.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
