Summary
LMI is seeking a Laboratory Senior Scientist to join their DHS CWMD BioDefense Team. This position requires an Active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain DHS Suitability, and can be supported remotely.
About the Role
As a Laboratory Senior Scientist, you will support the BioWatch federal lead with management and execution of laboratory operations, handle logistics issues, provide technical reviews on laboratory reports, develop study plans, conduct reviews of standard operating procedures, and assist with administrative support for the Laboratory Operations team.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology or related field.
- Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain DHS suitability clearance.
- 10 years of experience in laboratory based science generating analytical results from testing of clinical or environmental samples, or 7 years of experience with a Master's degree.
- Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology or related field.
- Knowledge and experience in CBRN material and understanding of the hazards associated with their manufacture, transport and use.
- BioWatch laboratory operations experience.
